Our history
Over 2o years ago one Marine saw the need for Marine Veterans to unite. With a $10 add in the local paper 15 Marine Veterans gathered and met at Bittersweet Park. They had a makeshift SOS breakfast in the back of pickup truck and that's when the Union Colony Detachment was born. The detachment is now at over 80 members strong and part of the National Marine Corps League.
Our mission
The mission of the Marine Corps League is to promote the interest and to preserve traditions of the United States Marine Corps; strengthen the fraternity of Marines and their families; serve Marines and FMF Navy Personnel who wear or who have worn the Eagle, Globe and Anchor; and foster the ideals of Americanism and patriotic volunteerism.
Associate Members of the Marine Corps League are valued assets to the organization. Their dedication to our Marines and FMF Navy Personnel is outstanding. We appreciate their interest in serving the community to make a positive impact.
2026 Annual Golf Tournament

We have a Poker Run to celebrate the "Battle of Belleau Wood" in which we earned the nickname "Teufel Hunden", Devil Dogs!
Proceeds go to Children's Hospital Canine Therapy Unit

Location will be the Embassy Suites in Loveland CO.
